TPD and Permanent Interior Architecture – Prinsengracht Penthouse

The two wings of the penthouse are connected by a luxurious marble corridor that maximises natural light whilst linking the views of the Prinsengracht Canal at the front to the vista of central Amsterdam towards the rear. Rich materials such as silk, marble, brass, and oak were carefully chosen to create eye-catching colour and textural compositions. These arrangements represent our aspirations to explore creative and flexible material applications that stand the test of time.

Our prioritisation of lowering the project's environmental impact resulted in a hybrid system of digital home automation and traditional analogue features. The chosen system allows access to stored solar energy, which when needed, can control the entire apartments central heating, cooling, and lighting.
